Evidence-based support for reading and language in the classroom
Digital and inclusive innovations - LeSeDi
The LeSeDi research program as part of the BMBWF's "Educational Research Needs Educational Innovation" initiative focuses on the evidence-based promotion of reading skills and language in the classroom, including digital and inclusive innovations. It is being carried out by a consortium of the University of Graz, the University College of Teacher Education Styria and the Private University College of Teacher Education Augustinum with the aim of generating sound findings on the development of reading skills and their support. The collaboration enables an effective transfer of research results into practice, uses open science practices and makes developed materials available. As part of the dissertation project, established experimental paradigms for processing word spellings and letter patterns will be carried out with mono- and bilingual children in order to investigate the influence of interference between the languages and the orthographic systems to be learned on the orthographic learning of multilingual children.
